Playa Del Carmen - Ever since it opened as the original Riu on the Riviera Maya, the Riu Yucatan has been causing a great sensation! Themed in an early Mexican Colonial style, the resort features a lobby modeled after an authentic Mexican town with hand-painted frescos of flowers, angels and clouds. The Hacienda Restaurant extends to a terrace amidst jungle greenery, offering a great variety of tantalizing buffets and on-the-spot cooking.
